LISC/Chicago’s purpose is to stimulate the redevelopment of Chicago neighborhoods and reconnect them to the socio-economic mainstream in the region. One way LISC has done that is through support of sports-related programming that reaches youth and adults in the neighborhoods where LISC works.

LISC has invested more than $500,000 in Youth Sports and Fitness over the past three years. It is working with community-based partners to launch Neighborhood Sports Chicago with funding support from the 2016 Fund for Chicago Neighborhoods.
