Archery a big hit at Englewood High; see photos
Wednesday, April 8, 2009
Tuesday's archery session at Englewood High School was a big hit, with students lining up to participate and the first competitive tournament completed.
With equipment and training provided by Watch Arrows Fly, the students were able to hit the targets more often than not, and they clearly enjoyed using the big bows and blunt-tipped arrows.
The session also marked the first competitive tournament of Spring Into Sports. The winner in the middle school archery competition was Samuel Stewart, but since he isn't able to attend the finals on Saturday, second-place Crystal Conley will represent the Englewood venue.
The photos below, by Alex Fledderjohn, tell the rest of the story.
